Additional information: Assistance Advice Distance selling and financial services. The high school welcomes 900 students from 14 to 23 years old. The teaching team is made up of 108 people. Since 2001 a class of European section exists in the establishment. A European section in Spanish has just opened.

The high school is very motivated by the social and solidarity economy. Indeed we are organizing this year the first fair of the social and solidarity economy. This show will bring together the 15 professional high schools of Reunion Island that will present a project of social entrepreneurship related to the social and solidarity economy. The purpose of this unique event is to make each participant an entrepreneur-job creator rather than a job seeker.

For example in high school in addition to the salon, a class will create a company of solid shampoos and show students how the use of this product helps preserve the water tables and our rivers. All ideas will not see the light of day. But the important thing is to have changed yourself, to know yourself better, and to know how to contribute, in a way, to become an entrepreneur of your own life. We wish to share our experience of this show on a European scale. Our salon is sponsored by MEP Younous Omarjee who is very involved in the social and solidarity economy. This year, Strasbourg is the global city of ESS.

The main project leaders will be Sabine Montrouge, professor of Letters-Histoire, and project leader for the social and solidarity economy fair. Géraldine Thizy referent ERAI high school. Ms. Petit Muriel, documentalist teacher; Mrs. Emerentienne Stephanie Professor of Economics Management and Mrs. Vidot Nadine Professor of Economics Management.

I am an academic trainer of project pedagogy. I allowed the creation of a mini-company in my establishment for 6 years. I work on the school business relationship with communities but also with neighborhood associations and mutual foundations.

The high school in order to respond in a more demanding way to the job market has set up an entrepreneurship option. Exchanging with other European countries would allow our students and teachers to compare sustainable entrepreneurship patterns across countries.

The high school won this year the company’s award for social and
environmental responsibility.
